The Crux, in collaboration with AMC Boston Chapter & Mountaineering Committee, is proud to present the one and only official Climbing Stories, Poems & Photography Contest!
As a second year of our new reality is underway and things are slowly reopening, we at the CRUX wanted to find a way to reconnect with the climbing community. One aspect of our new reality is the loss of those impromptu, spontaneous moments where we get together and share our experiences, emotions, and insights: our stories. So, we are reaching out to all of you out there, and inviting you to share your climbing stories in a different way. Leave the rope and your gear where they are. Grab a pen, just like in the ancient times, or your laptop. Scroll through the billions of photos on your phone, if you dare.
The contest is free and open to everyone. And don’t let the word “climbing” limit your imagination. Yes, it is the general theme but you are free to interpret the challenge with all your creativity.
There is one $100 REI Gift Card for the best picture and one for the best story or poem.
You have time until November 1st 2021 to submit your work!
